every year i don't really get too excited for award season, but for some reason this year i was really thrilled for the golden globes tonight. as per our usual sunday evening routine, i had plans with mom & pops to have dinner and watch the show. i was excited to see beautifully dressed celebrities and for the first time in years i was interested in watching - as i was actually familiar with a good portion of the movies/tv shows. as far as fashions and trends go, it looks like the real winner this year was the long-sleeved broad shouldered, backless dress seen on multiple stars throughout the night. despite the 80 degree plus beach weather in los angeles in january, the celebrities still sported these extravagant looks.

Angelina Jolie was my fave. I wasn't sure about Anne Hathaway at first because I felt like it was borderline too much but she started talking during a red carpet interview and i thought, ok what is there not to love about this girl, she makes the dress look amazing!
