after watching (500) days of summer on repeat the last 6 months, i was inspired to roam the streets of downtown la and take photos of the great architecture all around. as soon as i got there i knew this was exactly what i was expecting. i LOVED every minute of it. i went with my friend paola, and we basically walked from 1:30pm - 5:30pm non-stop. even though at the end of the day we were exhausted, i got some amazing photos and it was exactly what i needed. we took the metro from pasadena to union station and pretty much went to olvera street, city hall, the bradbury building, some random condo complex for sale, over to the grand central market, angels knoll park, and walked all the way back to union station. we hit all the major spots and the highlight for me was definitely angels knoll park (the park in (500) days of summer - if you have seen the movie, you would recognize the park). all in all, it was everything i'd hoped for & more. here are some of the highlights:
1-union station
2-pretty paola sitting inside the station
3,4,5-outside in the courtyard of union station
6-view of the outside of the station
7-view of the sister cities street sign
8,9-inside the bradbury building
10-view from paola's 'dream home'
11,12-view from the park in (500) days of summer
13,14,15,16-inside grand central market
17-city hall
18-goofing around
thanks for being my beautiful model paola!
xx.
