art in the streets.

last month, i was extremely excited to finally make my way over to the art in the streets exhibit at the museum of contemporary art in los angeles. the museum completely surpassed my expectations - i was shocked at the amount of art and the quality of each of the selected pieces on display. i could easily go back a second or third time and still have more to look at. each room was filled with the work of different, incredible street artists, with full on 3d displays, framed art, as well as movies on the artists. ever since i saw the movie, 'exit through the giftshop' my love for banksy began. here are several of my favorite shots from the day.

when one door closes..

they say that when one door closes, another one opens. and that couldn't be more of the case with me right now. i know i have been MIA for several months, but i am back and very pleased to say, happier than ever.

my door at my current job is finally closing (after almost 4 years there), and i am pleased to announce that a greater door has been opened to me: i will be getting my master's degree. i will be attending chapman university starting this fall and will be part of their MBA program. doing this has been a goal of mine since i graduated college in '07, and i couldn't be happier with this decision.

on top of this life changing event, i am also pleased to announce that i have been busy making changes and redecorating my condo. i can't wait to post pics and share with you all. the changes are coming along incredibly well, and am so excited for the final product. pictures will come soon...i promise!

not only have i been MIA with my blog, but a lot of my recent time has been spent recovering from knee surgery. i had the surgery 7/5 and have been on crutches ever since and it wasn't until this past weekend that i was able to start walking again. i forgot how difficult it was to use crutches full time. you don't appreciate what you have until it's gone.

now that i am back on track, i am excited to get back in the swing of things. new projects, new designs, and new creations are all under way!
