max vangeli & an21.  max vangeli a SF native and an21 (pronounced antoine) also known as steve angello's (of swedish house mafia) little brother, are two upcoming dj's who really made their way into the EDM scene in 2011.  i have been lucky enough to see them several times live, and they definitely did not disappoint.  i love their energy together and they keep producing fun beats that will make anyone dance.  here are some photos i snapped of the duo this past year as well as their remix of ellie goulding's 'starry eyed'

so i was doing my usual browsing of the forever21 website the other day and came across this new section: the exclusive design collection.  obviously this caught my eye and i immediately dove into the lookbook.  i loved the background contrast of the photos mixed with the clothes and i really like that these items are still priced at the low forever 21 price while still being designed in house.  seeing these makes me really excited for spring and summer.  loving the pattern play going on!

falling in love with brazil.  


being that i will be seeing kaskade perform in about a month, my excitement levels are through the roof and he has been playing on repeat for some time now.  i honestly can not get enough of his melodic tunes, hard beats, and amazing vocals.  this version of falling in love with brazil is perfection - danceable tune, chill enough to read to, and amazing lyrics bringing the song together.   hoping he plays this come 3/17..

as of the past few months i've really been loving this whole tribal trend.  my favorite must have item that demonstrates this tribal perfection is the isabel marant renell embroidered jeans.  i know these aren't new or anything, but i seriously love them.  they are just so unique and i adore the look when paired with a simple top and simple heels.  the pants speak for themselves, no need for more.

miike snow: the three headed band with the one man name.


a group that i love but recently kind of fell off my charts for a while.  comprised of three members,  they are mostly known for their extremely catchy song, 'animal', but another song takes the reins in my book.  released several years ago was 'cult logic' which is easily my favorite song by the group.  the song is calm, but upbeat, chill, but energetic.  however you describe it, it'll make anyone put this one on repeat.  i give you - miike snow's 'cult logic'.

so a little while ago on a gorgeous sunny LA afternoon, my friend jovian, of plums & pearls (you can find her here) and i set out on a little photo shoot.  we decided to keep it pretty causal and went to several different spots by her house in west LA.  not only was it great seeing her, but we experimented with the shots and really just had fun with it.  here are some of the highlights from outfit #1 of the shoot.
